The Lexington School seeks an energetic, mission-driven professional to join our enrollment team. The Assistant Director of Admission is a pivotal position within the Admission Office — someone who leads many of the school's most important efforts, from a prospective family's first step on campus until officially enrolling, supporting prospective families at every stage of their journey. This individual connects authentically with families and believes deeply in what we do. Reporting to the Director of Enrollment Management, this individual will guide prospective families through the full admission cycle with warmth and purpose, and help ensure that every family who encounters TLS experiences our community at its best.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, warm, and proactive — energized by building meaningful relationships with children and families. This individual thrives in a collaborative environment and is equally comfortable managing databases and logistics as they are welcoming families and representing the school in the community. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Serve as a welcoming and knowledgeable first point of contact for prospective families, responding promptly and professionally to inquiries via phone, email, or in person.
Oversee and guide prospective families through every stage of the admission process — from inquiry, application, and assessment through decision, enrollment, onboarding, and re-enrollment — with a warm, professional, and personalized approach, whether in person, by phone, or via email.
Lead admission efforts for The Lexington School and assist in the planning and execution of on-campus admission events, including Small Group Tours, Screening Days, New Family Orientations, and many other initiatives throughout the year.
Serve as the primary owner of the admission database in Blackbaud — managing all data entry and meticulous record keeping with exceptional attention to detail.
Process inquiries, applications, and enrollment materials accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring every record is complete and up to date.
Organize and maintain all admission files across the full enrollment cycle from inquiry through re-enrollment.
Track inquiries, applications, enrollment, and other key admission metrics.
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the admission office, ensuring a well-organized, efficient, and welcoming environment for families, staff, and visitors.
Manage the calendar for tours, visits, screening days, and follow-up communications.
Handle sensitive family and applicant information with the utmost discretion.
Additional duties as assigned or determined necessary by the Director of Enrollment Management.
Step into a leadership role within the department in the Director's absence.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree required.
2–3 years of experience desired in independent school admission, enrollment management, school relations, or a closely related field.
Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with students, families, faculty, and staff.
Technologically savvy with a strong command of Blackbaud, enrollment management systems, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, or a demonstrated ability to learn new platforms quickly.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously with attention to detail.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This job operates in a professional school environment. While performing the essential functions of this job, you will be expected to frequently sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, talk, type on a keyboard, hear and see.
The ability to lift, push, bend, and pull up to twenty-five [25] pounds occasionally is required.
The ability to move around campus to attend in-person meetings and provide group tours of campus is required.
The ability to work at special events during evenings and weekends is occasionally required.
Emergency staff designations, such as, ability to lead or direct students during emergency drills and real emergency events may be required.
